The battle for the Nexus intensifies with the introduction of the Shield Deck — a powerful new archetype focused on absorbing damage, powering up from defense, and punishing enemies for daring to attack. Whether you're looking to turtle up, reflect blows, or turn your barrier into a missile silo, this update's got something for you.

🛡️ New Cards Released (Shield Deck)

All cards are now fully implemented and signed off for dev. Available in all normal card rewards, shops, and relevant treasure/event pools.

🟢 Fair Cards

  • Enhanced Shield
    Gain 100 shield at the start of every battle. A strong start for any defensive build.
    (Rarity: Fair)

  • Fast Defenders
    Gain attack speed proportional to your total shield amount. Turtles that bite back.
    (Rarity: Fair)

  • Hard Shell
    Ignore the first X instances of damage in each combat. A reliable buffer to keep you alive.
    (Rarity: Fair)

  • Weakening Blasts
    Damaged enemies deal less damage to the tower — scaling from full to 0 HP.
    (Rarity: Fair)

🔷 Rare Cards

  • Thorny Shields
    Reflect incoming damage back to attackers while shielded. Retaliate without lifting a finger.
    (Rarity: Rare)

  • Offensively Defensive
    Your rockets deal bonus damage equal to X% of your total shield.
    (Rarity: Rare)

🟣 Epic Cards

  • Efficient Shields
    All shield gain is increased by 10%. Stack higher, last longer.
    (Rarity: Epic)

  • Over-reaction
    When your shield breaks, gain 2x damage for the next 10 seconds. Pain makes you stronger.
    (Rarity: Epic)

🟡 Legendary Card

  • Defensive Crews
    Gain +0.5 Shield every time you fire a rocket. Infinite ammo? Try infinite armor.
    (Rarity: Legendary)

🧠 Strategic Tip from the Devs

Combine Defensive Crews with Efficient Shields and Offensively Defensive to create a compounding build that accelerates both defense and offense. Want a power spike? Let your shield break intentionally to trigger Over-reaction right before a boss phase.

🧪 Balance monitoring is ongoing. As always, we're watching early builds and performance feedback across boss encounters, DPS races, and elite encounters to keep shield decks viable but not dominant.
